GHAZIABAD: The body of a 30-year-old veterinary doctor, who had been missing since Tuesday morning, was found inside his Brezza car parked along the Eastern Peripheral Expressway under Muradnagar police station limits on Wednesday.Police also recovered a suicide note from his house.Police found four anaesthesia bottles and a syringe inside the car and suspect that he died due to an overdose of anaesthesia. The autopsy report did not establish the cause of death, following which viscera was preserved for further investigation.The deceased was identified as Shivam Kartikeya Bhardwaj, who ran a veterinary clinic in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi.He lived with his wife Prachi, their 10-month-old son and his parents at VVIP Manglam, a high-rise in Raj Nagar Extension. Prachi is a professor at a private college.According to the family, Shivam left home around 9am on Tuesday for work. He took his car and reached his clinic.He usually returned home by 9pm, but when he did not return, family members called him several times without getting a response.They then checked his room and found a suicide note. The family approached Nandgram police station and filed a missing report, also submitting the note.In the note, Shivam apologised to his parents and said he was solely responsible for what he was doing and that nobody else should be blamed.He wrote that he was not satisfied with the life he had built over 30 years and had been unhappy and dissatisfied with himself, adding that he did not want to continue living. He also apologised to his wife Prachi and son Shivarth.Sunil Kumar, ACP Masuri, said police received information around 2.30pm on Wednesday from a passerby that a car was parked beside the road and a man inside was not responding despite repeated knocks.“Immediately a police team reached and unlocked the car and found the man was dead. We sent the body for autopsy and reports are awaited. Initial investigation revealed that the family of deceased had made a missing complaint at Nandgram police station and he also left a suicide note at his house. An investigation is being conducted by the Nandgram police station,” he said.Ziauddin Ahmad, ACP Nandgram, said Shivam’s family approached Nandgram police station on Tuesday night with a missing complaint and the suicide note found in his room.“After which, we informed all the police stations of the district and neighbouring districts with all information including photos. But by evening on Tuesday, we got information from Muradnagar police station and family members also identified the body,” he said.“Initial investigation revealed that Shivam married Parchi in 2025 and the couple has a ten months old son. For the last few days, Prachi had gone to her father’s place in Rohtak, Haryana. We are investigating the actual reason behind the suicide,” he said.“The autopsy report didn’t find the cause of the death and due to which viscera has been preserved for further investigation,” ACP said.
