'Haiwaan': Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan's promotional song filmed at Mumbai college - Reports

Anticipation is building around Priyadarshan‘s ‘Haiwaan’ as its promotions gather steam. Reports suggest the makers have wrapped up shooting a song for the upcoming thriller in Mumbai, bringing together Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Saiyami Kher, and Shriya Pilgaonkar on screen. The song, composed by Pritam and choreographed by Bosco Martis, is expected to be a highlight of the film’s promotional push.

‘Haiwaan’ song shot at SNDT College

According to Variety India, the song, also titled ‘Haiwaan’, was shot at SNDT College, with the set reportedly put together in just a day ahead of filming. The number offers the makers a chance to showcase the lead cast in a vastly different tone compared to the dark, tension-filled atmosphere established by the film’s initial promotions. The teaser had shown Khan as a blind man trapped in a perilous situation, with Kumar portraying a sinister villain.

‘Haiwaan’ cast comes together for tight shoot schedule

The shoot in Mumbai was carried out on a tight timeline, with the team setting up the required arrangements at SNDT College within just one day. Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar all featured in the shoot, giving the makers a valuable asset that unites the film’s principal cast in one frame.

‘Haiwaan’ marks Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s reunion

‘Haiwaan’ also brings about a notable reunion for Khan and Kumar, who last shared the screen together in 2008’s ‘Tashan’. Their pairing in this Priyadarshan directorial is expected to be one of the film’s biggest draws. ‘Haiwaan’, produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn, is set to hit theatres on September 11, 2026.

‘Haiwaan’ continues Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan collaboration

The film also marks another chapter in the long-standing collaboration between Kumar and Priyadarshan, who have previously worked together on titles like ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Bhooth Bangla’. However, ‘Haiwaan’ sees the actor-director duo venture into far more sinister territory than their earlier films.
