NEW DELHI: Countering BJP MP Kangana Ranaut‘s remarks about his age and professional life, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) chief spokesperson Saurav Das said he has never claimed to be an active student, adding that even Google provides inaccurate information about him to the parliamentarian.“Even Google provides incorrect information to Kangana Ranaut. It suggests I am 28, but I am actually 27. I am not a student either; Google would confirm that I am not a student. I am a journalist, and I have never claimed to be an active student. I am a student of life. Yes, as a new parliamentarian, I was overwhelmed with all the work because I am also a filmmaker, performing artist, producer, screenwriter, and entrepreneur.“Taking further swipe, she added, “You are not a student; you are simply useless. Let’s start with learning some skill. It’s a good place to start,” she added.Reacting to the use of derogatory remarks by some CJP protesters during the NEET paper leak protest, Saurav Das said that if any language used was derogatory in nature, the person concerned was free to pursue civil and criminal defamation proceedings against the individual responsible.“If any language used was derogatory in nature, then the person concerned is free to pursue civil and criminal defamation proceedings against the individual concerned. It creates a chilling effect. I don’t think this is acceptable to anybody, especially the younger generation, ” Das said.“I would request the younger generation to be very careful about the words they use and the kind of insults or remarks they make against people in general. That said, the use of the criminal justice machinery is a big no-no. It is completely unacceptable and should not happen.
