Bigg Boss 20: Manoj Tiwari’s daughter Rhiti Tiwari gets emotional over constant comparison with father; says, “Mujhe lag raha hai main apni family ka naam kharab kar dungi”

The first Weekend Ka Vaar of the season left many contestants emotional as Salman Khan interacted with the housemates and shared his views on their game.During the episode, Salman Khan advised Rhiti Tiwari to be more alert in the game, express her opinions and, most importantly, remain genuine. He also praised her for moving in the right direction and trying to establish her own identity despite coming from a family associated with a big name like her father, Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari.Rhiti became emotional while thanking Salman for his words. However, after Salman left, she broke down while speaking about the pressure she has felt throughout her life because of her father’s identity. She opened up about it in front of Arishfa Khan, Asif Khan and several other contestants.“Mujhe lag raha hai, main apni family ka naam kharab kar dungi real ban ke. Aap samajh rahe ho? Because main aisi family se aati hoon ki jabse main paida hui hoon… I’m so sorry if I’m crying.”(I feel like I will bring shame to my family by being my real self. Do you understand? Because I come from such a family that ever since I was born… I’m so sorry if I’m crying.)She further explained how constantly being identified as Manoj Tiwari’s daughter affected the way she behaved.“Because of who my father is, mere saath ek bada naam juda raha hai. Jis din se main paida hui hoon, mujhe bola gaya hai, ‘Tum inki beti ho, theek se baitho, achhe se haso, aise kyun bola, aisa kyun act kiya.’ Bahar jao toh aise bano, kuch bol rahi ho toh achhe se socho. But main toh kuch aur ban gayi hoon, aur main kuch aur hoon na. Mere paas woh right hai na?”(Because of who my father is, I have always been associated with a big name. Ever since I was born, I have been told, ‘You are his daughter, sit properly, laugh properly, why did you say that, why did you act like that?’ When you go outside, behave a certain way, and if you are saying something, think carefully. But I have grown into someone different, and I am my own person. I have the right to be that, don’t I?)Rhiti admitted that she had carried this pressure deeply for years.“Mainne ye cheez itna deeply carry kar liya hai na. First time in life I felt like someone is seeing me for who I am.” (I have carried this so deeply. For the first time in my life, I felt like someone was seeing me for who I am.)She became emotional while describing the weight she continues to feel. “Heart heavy ho jaata hai kabhi-kabhi. Main aisi insaan nahi hoon ki 10 logon ke saamne rou.” (Sometimes my heart feels very heavy. I’m not someone who cries in front of ten people.)Her emotional confession highlighted the personal struggle of trying to build an identity of her own while constantly being compared to a well-known parent.
