Actress Ekta Rathod is set to make her Telugu acting debut with the upcoming film ‘Legacy’, starring Vishwak Sen in the lead. The makers recently introduced her as the female lead with a new poster, offering a glimpse into the intense political action drama.

According to a report by Cinema Express, Ekta Rathod opened up about making her Telugu debut with ‘Legacy’ and described the opportunity as a deeply special one.“This is a very special moment for me. As a girl from Bengaluru who came with nothing but dreams of being on the big screen, to debut with a film like ‘Legacy’ feels surreal. When I first heard the story from Saikiran Sir, I knew this was not just a launch, it was a responsibility,” she said.The actress also spoke about sharing screen space with Vishwak Sen and revealed how much she learned from the actor while working on the film.

Calling her experience of working with Vishwak Sen an “absolute masterclass”, Ekta praised the actor’s passion and energy on set.“Working opposite Vishwak Sen sir has been an absolute masterclass. He is so passionate, so energetic, and he made me feel so comfortable on my first-ever set. I have learned so much just by watching him perform,” she said.Ekta also described ‘Legacy’ as an intense political drama that blends love, power and emotions. She expressed gratitude towards director Saikiran Reddy Daida and producers Yeshwanth Daggumati and Kalaahi Media for giving her the opportunity to headline her Telugu debut.“I am so thankful to my director Saikiran Reddy Daida and producers Yeshwanth Daggumati and Kalaahi Media for believing in a newcomer like me and giving me this huge platform. ‘Legacy’ is an intense political drama filled with love, power and emotions, and my character has so much depth,” she added.
Kay Kay Menon to play the antagonist in ‘Legacy’
Written and directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida, ‘Legacy’ follows Vishwak Sen’s character as he gets drawn into a dangerous world shaped by his father’s legacy. The film features an ensemble cast, with Kay Kay Menon taking on the role of a powerful antagonist. The cast also includes Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Mohan, Raja Ravindra, Rajeev Kanakala, Aneesh Kuruvilla, Khushee Ravi, Kalyani Natarajan, Ravi Kaale, Amit Tiwari and others.‘Legacy’ is scheduled to release in theatres on December 4, 2026.
