MUMBAI: The FDA on Saturday suspended the food business licence of the Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) facility in Mumbai.On Friday, the FDA had suspended the food business licence of The Bombay Presidency Radio Club and the registration certificate of Khar Gymkhana over alleged hygiene, structural and food safety violations.The FDA also suspended the licence of McDonald’s Colaba after a live cockroach infestation was found in the kitchen, among other violations.In a communication (TOI has a copy) to its members, the MCA Club wrote, “Dear Associates, This is to inform you that, due to certain technical issues, all Food & Beverage services and restaurants will remain closed with immediate effect until further notice. However, all sports facilities will continue to remain operational, including the gymnasium, swimming pool, lawn tennis courts, squash courts, pickleball courts, badminton courts, table tennis, pool tables and billiards. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”All restaurants and bars shut at MCA’s BKC facility in Mumbai by FDA; Tukaram Mundhe and his team strike again.
